HD Engine Lineup
The heart of the entire 2026 GMC Sierra HD lineup is what is equipped under the hood. Depending on which 2500 or 3500 trim grade a customer takes home from our showroom, one of the following engine options will be available.
- 6-litre, V-8, 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque
- 6.6-litre, V-8 Diesel, 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque
A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard across the board.
Towing Capacity
Gord Anderson GM customers needing to maximize their truck’s towing capacity should look at 3500HD models equipped with the available diesel engine. When the proper gear is equipped, it can tow up to 16,330 kg (36,000 lbs.). Choosing the 2500HD version brings a top towing capacity of 10,156 kg (22,390 lbs.).

One of the hardest parts of outfitting a 2026 Sierra HD is choosing its upholstery. Each trim grade offers something different, with enough choices available to meet almost any need.
