Each new model year for the Chevrolet Silverado HD family is always cause for excitement. For the 2024 model year, Chevrolet is stopping just short of the redesigning the latest member of the heavy-duty Silverado family. Instead, our manufacturing partner has opted for an extensive refresh that includes revised elements to the front end and the trucks’ interior options. Additionally, Chevrolet is making a new diesel powertrain available that will expand the Silverado HD’s towing capability. Exterior Design
While Chevrolet made some changes to the truck’s exterior, the 2024 Silverado HD will retain its unmistakable silhouette and stance on the road. Several front-end fascia elements have been updated for the new model year with new horizontal bars on the grille and new LED accents lights. Other new elements include:
- Available animated headlights and taillights
- 18-, 20-, and 22-inch wheel options
- Redesigned front bumper
Silverado HD Special Edition
As a Chevrolet pickup truck, buyers will have a lot of options to pick from to make it truly their own. Gord Anderson GM customers can choose from four different special editions, including:

- Z71 Sport Edition
- Z71 Chrome Sport Edition
- High Country Midnight Edition
Multi-Flex Tailgate
Pickup trucks and tailgates naturally go together like a hand in a glove. Chevrolet is adapting its popular Multi-Flex Tailgate to the Silverado HD lineup. It will feature six functions:
- Primary Gate Access
- Primary Gate Load Stop
- Foldable Inner Gate
- Full-Width Step
- Inner Gate Load Stop
- Inner Gate Work Surface
Interior Design
To be sure, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD is built to work hard. However, it’s not lost on the automaker’s design team that people also need to be comfortable. Most trim grades feature a high-tech, driver-focused cockpit with plenty of information screens. Every trim grade features supportive and comfortable seats.
New Interior Options
Gord Anderson GM customers opting for the top-of-the-line High Country trim grade will have the option to choose the all new Nightshift Blue/Jet Black interior package.
Performance & Capability
New Diesel Engine
One of the biggest additions made to the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD lineup is a very powerfuel turbo-diesel engine. The 6.6-litre V-8 Duramax power plant will make 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. Standard powertrain equipment includes a 6.6-litre V-8 gasoline-powered engine that will produce 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. Both engines usea an Allison® 10-speed automatic transmission.
Towing Capacity
Every heavy-duty pickup truck wins or loses based on its towing capacity. The 2024 Silverado HD lineup is well-equipped to stay atop its class. Gas-powered Silverado HD trucks can tow up to 8,659 kg and diesel-powered versions can tow up to 16,329 kg.
Additional Towing Systems
Since towing is such a major component of owning a Silverado HD, our manufacturing partner has included several systems and camera views to make it easier and safer. These systems and cameras include:

Technology
Digital Display Features
The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD family will be among the smartest trucks in its class. Drivers will be able to track speed, fuel status and other important information via a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with customizable displays.
Touchscreen Interface
Most multimedia functions will be housed inside the available 13.4-inch touchscreen interface located in the centre of the dashboard. In addition to finding the best music and podcasts, this is also where drivers will get navigation information.
Google Suite Compatibility
Google is one of the biggest names in internet technology. Now, the tech giant is partnering with Chevrolet to bring its suite of popular software systems to the 2024 Silverado HD lineup. Google Built-In technology will offer easy access to:
